Oktoberfest started in Munich last week and I can finally say I attended Oktoberfest for the first time. Yippie! I went with Anni and some other bloggers. I really looked forward to dirndls, leatherpants, pretzels, and beer! Have you been to Oktoberfest? To be prepared, I listed some must-haves for Oktoberfest. If I forgot something, then write a comment :-) As I mentioned, this was my first visit to Oktoberfest.

Dirndl + Dirndlblouse. This traditional costume is a must for Oktoberfest. If you visit Oktoberfest, you have to wear a Dirndl or Lederhosen. I’m a fan of the Dirndl! I put together some pretty dirndls and blouses in the box above. There are tons of shops both online and offline. I got my dirndl from McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Parndorf at the Original Salzburger Shop.
Small Crossbody BagTo have both hands free, use a crossbody bag. Only take few items with you – phone, money, ID, lipgloss. That should fit into the bag. You won’t need more.
Comfortable or Chic Shoes. Depending on what you prefer – flats or heels. The shoes should match the Dirndl.
Lipstick + Hand Sanitizer. As mentioned above, put some lipgloss/lipstick and hand sanitizer in your bag. Believe me, a party like this is full of bacteria. That’s why I always have a bottle of hand sanitizer with me. You never know where the people shaking your hands were before. Yuck. I also like to use the Blistex Lip Conditioner or the teatree – oil lipbalm..

Push Up Bra. If wearing a Dirndl you can show off some cleavage. If your chest is on the smaller side, try wearing a push-up bra.
Blister Plasters. You need a little space for blister plasters in your bag. Nothing is more uncomfortable than a open wound on your feet. If you wear new shoes, you will get blisters for sure.
Cash. I don’t want to bring a huge bag along, that’s why the purse also needs to be tiny. Put your cash into a little pouch.
