I was in Amsterdam with three friends last week. We slept in the WestCord Fashion Hotel Amsterdam. So as after all my trips, I want to give you a detailed overview about the hotel and our stay. If you have some more questions about the hotel, send me an email or leave me a comment just down below. And yes, there will be a cost lineup about Amsterdam as well.

» The Room: Large Fashion Doubleroom
The WestCord Fashion Hotel Amsterdam has 260 modern Design-Rooms with free WIFI, air conditioning, Nespresso coffee, tea, safe, LCD-flat screen TV and access to the spa (swimming pool & fitness center). When opening the door – we had a room in the 5th floor – you’ll find a corridor leading you to your bedroom. There was a king size bed, a seating area with a table and 2 chairs, a desk and a flatscreen TV.
We had a nice view over the heart of Amsterdam. The hotel is not that central, but you can take the tram 1 and 17. On Friday evenings you can hear a little music from the Skyy Bar, but it didn’t disturb our sleep. Ask when booking which floor you will get. If you’re in the 10th or 9th floor, you might hear the music. The bed was super soft and big, just like the rest of the room. The bathtub was my highlight. One night, I took a bath instead of showering.
We also had tons of space for our clothes. Usually, you only have one closet, but in our room there was way more space.
» The Breakfast: Fashion’s Restaurant & Bar
When we entered the breakfast room, it wowed us. The breakfast area was really big and bright. The buffet was beautifully done and distinct. Let’s be honest – breakfast is always the best. I love to take my time in the morning. With coffee, pancakes, fruits and veggies. Even better when it’s with friends!
» And the Rest: Outdoor Lounge, Skyybar & Wellness
Friday evening, we got some drinks and snacks at the Skyybar. The view up there is beautiful. The drinks and the music were great as well. If you want to spend a nice evening, you can stay here. Unfortunately, we felt that the service was rude and snappish. We didn’t try the spa, as we did a lot of sightseeing. After walking all day, we preferred the bathtub instead of the pool. Oh, and what I really liked was the sweet little winter garden aka. lounge area next to the reception. The outdoor area is super pretty and warm. The pillows were so pretty I wanted to take them with me.
» The Service: very friendly & helpful
Since we arrived very late, I wasn’t able to take good pictures of the room. I asked the service to take a look at another room to take pictures, which was absolutely no problem! The receptionist even gave us a hotel tour, which was great as well. So, we all liked our stay at the hotel – the atmosphere was very pleasant. The employees were friendly and helpful and the price was totally okay. I highly recommend the Westcord for a city trip to Amsterdam.
