Today’s post is helpful to those who plan their next trip. People often ask me if I can post about finding flights. Flights can be super expensive, which is frustrating! After reading a lot online and talking to other travel bloggers, I want to share these tips with you. I hope that you’ll find it helpful and that you can save some money.
»My Tips: Finding Cheap Flights
- 1. Use a fake location while searching for flights
Explanation: Some airlines sell their tickets with different prices in different countries. For example – if you buy a ticket Bangkok – Samui, then the ticket is much cheaper if you’re in Thailand!
»How to avoid this:
Change your location, when booking.
- 2. Search for Flights for the Whole Month
If you’re not sure yet when to fly, plan depending on the prices. Use Websites, which show you the prices per day. I added 2 pictures for you to understand.
- 3. Use Flight Search Engines With Low or no Fees
Sometimes you find a great flight and if you want to book it you have to pay tons of fees. Avoid these websites.
My favorites: Skyscanner, Hipmunk and Kissandfly
- 4. Inform yourself before booking about additional costs like for seat reservations
Booking a ticket can be hard sometimes, you have to look out for everything. Weight, extra costs for seat reservations, food etc. Imagine there are 2 tickets – 150 Euro and 200 Euro. You tend to book the first one, because it seems cheaper. But maybe you still have to pay for the seat and the food extra. You can find this kind of information on the airline’s website.
- 5. Note the Deals on Social Media
A lot of airlines are on Facebook or Twitter or send out deals in their newsletter. Follow their accounts for the newest deals. On Christmas, Easter or in the holidays these airlines always have something to offer.
